What is the difference between a bank transfer and an Instant deposit?

With a bank transfer, you need to log in to your bank account and manually enter a sort code, account number and unique reference number to deposit money into your NuWealth account. You can view this information by going to the app > 'Add Money' > 'Make a Bank Transfer'. Please ensure you copy the details exactly, as any edits may cause your deposit to fail.

An Instant deposit into an investment account is much faster and can be accessed from within the NuWealth app via TrueLayer (which is also regulated by the FCA). You just need to specify how much you want to deposit, select your bank, authorise the deposit to NuWealth, and TrueLayer will complete the transaction. Instant deposits usually take minutes, but sometimes this can take up to two hours.
