What Is Micro-Investing?

Having to save up thousands of pounds to start investing is a daunting idea. Luckily, this is no longer necessary – NuWealth provides a platform where you can start micro-investing instead.

So what is micro-investing?

Micro-investing is the practice of investing much smaller amounts to buy fractions of a share, rather than a whole share.

That fraction of a share can rise and fall in value just like a regular share; the only difference is that it’s a much smaller piece of the pie. Of course, this also means that there is a proportionally smaller growth opportunity.

However, micro-investing provides the perfect intro to investing for those who are just starting out, or for those who have limited budgets.

The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you could get back less than you invest. If you’re not sure about investing, seek independent advice. Fractional shares are available with NuWealth’s General Investment Account.
